Progress continues in my effort to build a little studio for nudes, implied nudes, erotic nudes, and fashion nudes. This morning I brought in a small video monitor and connected it to the camera. This allows the model to take a look at the photos as they are being shot. Instead of stopping every once in a while to show the model what the photos look like in the back of the camera, I’m going to use a monitor that will be placed on a tripod close to the model so that s/he can see what we’ve captured. This is possible through an HDMI connection from the camera to the monitor. This creates inspiration and a collaborative cohesion. It works flawlessly. As you can see in the photo below, I snapped a photo of the softbox, and the image showed up on the monitor.
Yesterday I met my first model at Katheryn Albertson Park. She’s a lovely woman with an artistic spirit. It was obvious that she’ll look great on camera, and I’m looking forward to shooting with her soon. A date has been set, and I’m excited to get back into this genre of photography.
